Our beliefs

God’s Word is our
foundation.

All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of the foundational truths taught in the Bible.

Verbal Inspiration of Scripture

We believe in the infallible, inspired Word of God. The Old and New Testament Scriptures were written by human authors divinely inspired, preserved unbroken, and passed down to us today. The Holy Bible is inspired verbally and plenarily, without error.

2 Timothy 3:16 · Psalm 119:89 · 2 Peter 1:20–21 · Matthew 24:35

Genesis Account of Creation

We believe the Genesis account of creation: a direct, miraculous act of God in six literal days. Man was created in the image of God, and all reproduction was after its kind.

Genesis 1:1 · Colossians 1:16–17 · Psalm 33:6–9 · Exodus 20:11

The Trinity

We believe in one true God, eternally existing in three co-equal persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit—one in substance and distinct in person.

Matthew 28:19 · Acts 5:1–3 · Colossians 2:9

The Deity and Virgin Birth of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, God in the flesh, conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary. He is both the Son of God and God the Son.

John 1:1 · John 10:30 · Matthew 1:20 · Luke 1:30–35

The Substitutionary Death of Christ

Jesus took the sinner’s place, bore our sins, and met sin’s penalty through His substitutionary death for all. His righteousness is imputed to us by faith, and His blood cleanses from sin.

Isaiah 53:5 · 2 Corinthians 5:21 · 1 Peter 3:18

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

Christ’s sacrifice is the only basis of salvation, reconciliation, and justification. Salvation is received by grace through faith—not by works—and produces a life of good works.

Acts 4:12 · Romans 10:9–13 · Ephesians 2:8–10 · Titus 3:5–8

Heaven and Hell

We believe Heaven and Hell are real, literal places. Heaven is the eternal home of the saved; Hell is eternal punishment and separation from God for the lost.

John 14:2 · Matthew 25:46 · Revelation 20:14–15

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with the Father and the Son. He convicts, seals, indwells, guides, teaches, sanctifies, and helps every believer.

John 14:16–17 · John 16:7–15 · Acts 1:8

The Second Coming

We believe in the personal, bodily, visible, imminent, pretribulational, and premillennial return of Jesus Christ and His coming kingdom.

Acts 1:11 · 1 Thessalonians 4:16–18 · Revelation 19–20

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We believe Christ gave the local church two ordinances: believer’s baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper as a memorial of His sacrificial love.

Matthew 28:19 · Acts 8:38 · 1 Corinthians 11:17–34

The Resurrection

We believe Jesus Christ arose bodily on the third day and ascended bodily into Heaven, giving every believer the sure hope of immortality and everlasting life.

1 Corinthians 15:12–28 · Luke 24:1–7 · Acts 1:9–10

Eternal Security

We believe every person who is born again has everlasting life and is kept by the power of God, sealed unto the day of redemption.

John 10:27–30 · 1 Peter 1:5 · Romans 8:35–39

Soul-Winning and Missions

We believe Christ gave the Great Commission to the local church. Evangelizing the world, baptizing believers, and teaching them to follow Christ is the mission of the church.

Matthew 28:19–20 · Mark 16:15 · Acts 1:8

Sanctification and the Local Church

We believe sanctification is the Spirit’s progressive work in believers and that God carries out His work through independent local churches committed to Scripture, worship, fellowship, and mission.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 · 2 Peter 3:18 · Acts 20:17–20 · Ephesians 3:21
